Oda Mae wanted to say hi...

Oda Doctor
Today was Oda Mae's 6 month checkup. She had to have shots and everything.
Stats...
17 lb 9 oz
27 1/2 inches tall
Tummy: squishy
Everything is going well, said the Dr. She is a little tall for her age, but she looks good.
She got a shot in each leg and didn't cry at all!!!! I have the best baby! We have to go back later this week to get another shot 'cause they didn't have them all this morning.
--------------------------
This morning we had plums with our breakfast. She will have to get used to those. They were kind of tart. A week after the "Green Bean" incident, she likes green beans better than her cereal. Who would have thought that? I asked the dr. if it might be wise to wait giving her any more plums until we made sure that she didn't have any reactions from the shots. She said that actually made sense. So we won't do plums again till Thurs. or Fri.
---------------------------
Oda Mae is quite the mobile child these days. I can't get her to be still for anything! Crawling, Climbing up on stuff, Driving.......Here are some pictures to make you happy today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oda Baby...
More "movie" posts will be here soon....
For now, Oda Mae woke up late this morning. I think she figured that it was easier just to sleep in than to try and figure a way out of her little predicament...
We have bought stock in "Binky's" because when we took out her crib bumper she tends to lose her binkies at night while she is sleeping. Hence, Oda Daddy getting up 4 or 5 times every night to replace the three that she has lost on the "wall side" of the crib. The other day I had to go buy a couple of packages to get us through the night.
Oda Momma mentioned the other day that we went mall shopping. We had a very good time. Oda Mae got to pick out a new toy from the toy store...
She likes it pretty well...
Oda Mae has started asking about CHRISTMAS!!!! I told her it's all about who can put the most lights on their house, and who ever helps Daddy put the most lights on the house get's the best presents from Santa Clause! She said that she was going to ask Santa for a toy box. I told her that he might ask her if she helped her Daddy put up Christmas lights, and that if she did, Santa might be happy to oblige. :)
Don't forget to check out Oda Momma's blog tonight or tomorrow for some "colorful" events.

Extra, Extra Read All About It!
We are back to posting again. That's what happens when you don't have any television to watch...you actually do something productive with you life like post cute little photoshop pictures of your 5 1/2 month daughter.
Oda Mae is growing up so fast. Everyone said it would happen that way but when it's 3am in the morning and you have a 3 week old baby you tend to want to tell those people to go fly a kite. :) Oda Mae is doing (or trying to do) all kinds of stuff now-a-days. If you haven't seen some of the videos and pictures on ODA MOMMA'S SITE, you really need to go take a look. Oda Mae will chase you around in her little walker. I worry she's going to take off some day if we put a pair of wings on that thing. She is eating cereal (Rice, Oatmeal, and this week Mixed). It is quite the site at feeding time around our house. I'll put up an "Audio" blog and a picture sometime this week so that you all get a better idea.
Here is what happened today.... Oda Mae can now sit up all by herself! She will be laying on the floor and she will scoot around and eventually set up straight. Again, check out Oda Momma's blog for the video that I shot tonight. When I was making the video tonight of her setting up, it made me kind of sad. My little Oda Mae is growing up and she doesn't need me as much anymore. I even had to take the bumper out of her crib (they tell you to do that when they can sit up on their own). Her little crib looked so empty without it. I know I'm being silly, but I don't want her to move away and get married! She just got here, and I'm not done with her.
So, anyway, Oda Mae will be half a year old on MY BIRTHDAY this month. The good thing is that Christmas is almost here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Game!!!!!
Yesterday's Answer to Where in the World is Oda Mae?:
Leaning Tower of Pisa: Pisa, Italy, Rome
Leaning Tower of Pisa is a bell tower at Pisa, Italy. It is famous for leaning 141/2 feet (4.4 meters) out of line when measured from the seventh story. It tilts because its foundation was built on unstable soil (it's a well known fact that Pisa architects aren't so bright). Construction of the tower began in 1173 and ended between 1360 and 1370. The ground beneath the tower first started to sink after the first three stories were built.
In 1990, the tower was closed for repairs. At that time, its lean had been increasing an average of 1/20 of an inch (1.3 millimeters) per year. Engineers hope to stabilize the tower's foundation and straighten it slightly to prevent it from eventually collapsing and falling over (and yes, it is indeed open for tourists!). By 1994, their efforts had straightened the tower's lean about 2/5 of an inch (1 centimeter). No date for the reopening of the tower was scheduled.
Okay, the name of the new game is, "Let's Go See a Movie with Oda Mae!" You'll see a movie scene (with Oda Mae) and you have to guess what movie the scene is from. Sound fun? Here we go.....Movie No. 1

Where in the World is Oda Mae?
Yesterday's Answer: Victoria Falls: Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe, Africa
When the calm flowing waters of the Zambezi River encounter the 1700-meter (1-mile) wide edge of the Victoria Falls gorge on the Zambia- Zimbabwe border, they abruptly plunge 100 meters (330 feet) to the bottom. The impact generates soaring mists and thunderous sounds that can be seen and heard from great distances. The Victoria Falls constitutes one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. The Local people call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya" -- the smoke that thunders and the Falls are remarkable. There is a magic about them manifested in the towering column of spray when the river is high, the thunder of the falling water, the terrifying abyss and tranquil lagoons upstream in which hippo and deadly crocodiles lurk.
Editors Note: We will begin a new "Game" tomorrow. Details TBA.....

Where in the World is Oda Mae?
Sorry, but we are experiencing technical difficulties. Blogger isn't posting my photos :(
We'll be back as soon as possible...
In the meantime, here is yesterdays answer...
London, England
BIG BEN Possibly the most famous clock face and chimes in the world the building is officially known as St Stephen's Tower, but which is more commonly referred to as Big Ben. "Big Ben" is actually the name of the largest bell inside the clock tower, which forms part of the Houses of Parliament. It is thought that the name comes from Sir Benjamin Hall who was commissioner of works when the bell was first installed in 1858. The accuracy of the clock movement is controlled by the placing of old pennies in the mechanism.

Where in the World is Oda Mae?
Last times Winner: Himalaya Tibet-Nepal (Mount Everest)
Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world. Its elevation of 29,035 feet (8,850 meters) was determined using GPS satellite equipment on May 5, 1999. Overall, more than 600 climbers from 20 countries have climbed to the summit by various routes from both north and south. Climbers' ages have ranged from nineteen years to sixty. At least 100 people have perished, most commonly by avalanches, falls in crevices, cold, or the effects of thin air. Climbing on Everest is very strictly regulated by both the Nepalese and Chinese governments. Permits cost thousands of U.S. dollars ($50,000 for a seven member party in 1996), and are difficult to obtain, and waiting lists extend for years.
